The Women’s Slopestyle Tour will be partnering with the FMBA (Freeride Mountain Bike Association) to bring the addition of women’s Dirt Jump, Freeride and Slopestyle events to multiple locations across North America. This inaugural series will touch down in 3 cities, beginning in Truckee, CA with the Little Big Festival, followed by Sugar Showdown in Seattle, WA and the Big White Freeride Days in Kelowna, BC - with hopes of expanding its programming to other centres and offering women opportunities to compete beyond North America. For the past seven years Cortney Knudson and Brooks McMullin have donated countless hours of work in order to give the Truckee community one of the top public bike parks in the country.

Featuring a pump track, flow lines, a dual slalom track, and some of the raddest lines around, the Truckee Bike Park has become one of the best places to progress as a rider. After a fundraiser earlier this month, the park is now scheduled for its fifth of six build-out phases.

We’d like to introduce you to Truckee local, Ryden, who is probably the most excited about the $1000 donation to the Truckee Bike Park in the Quality Automotive and Smog Season of Giving.  Ryden is an 8 year old bicycling powerhouse who started at the park as a strider when he was just 2-years-old.  It didn’t take long for this little guy to discover the various tracks and eventually move on to jumps.   He loves to ride at the Truckee Bike Park because it’s just fun - all day fun!

The Auburn Recreation District is moving toward a key decision today on a proposed bike park off Maidu Drive.  And it’s doing so with proponents and opponents both having a tour of the site last Thursday of the undeveloped property over looking the American River canyon.... A Rocklin bike-store owner, Ghiselin said that the emphasis on the park is to provide a place for families to ride. He challenges opponents to take a drive to the Truckee bike park – one of the closest to Auburn.

...This month we feature the Truckee Bike Park, a place where dirt and sagebrush have been magically transformed into a world-class biking destination, free for all and designed for all.

After riding a pumptrack in Sun Valley in 2012, Cortney Knudson & Brooks McMullin were inspired to bring the concept home to Truckee.  For the past 6 years they have volunteered countless hours of their own time to build the park.
